A new translation option for younger Bible readers

Hi Reader, I just added a new translation to Type the Word called the New International Reader’s Version. As the name suggests, the NIRV is from the same publisher and has similar translation style to the NIV, but it’s written at a 3rd grade reading level. My hope with this new translation is for young kids to be able to understand and be impacted by what they are typing, not just type letters on the screen. I’d consider using the NIRV this fall in your classroom, especially for classes where students are just getting into the Bible. Also, as I add more translations, keep in mind that you can always change what translations are allowed in your school under “Allowed translations” in School settings. This is a great way to prevent students from accessing any translation that doesn’t align with your schools tradition. For example: in this classroom since I've set the Allowed translations to be NIV, NIRV, and NKJV (3), my student is only able to access those two translations (4). And as a teacher you can always set the “Default translation” in Classroom Settings so that your favorite translations is prefilled whenever you are selecting a translation across Type the Word.
