I’m excited about where Type the Word is headed (like an adaptive memorization management, tradition-specific content, and integrations with popular Bible curriculum providers), and this plan includes all of it.

How to activate your Type the Word plan

You can purchase the seats your school needs from your billing settings.

A few quick notes on how billing works:

• I set up billing this way because most schools roll Type the Word out by classroom.
• If a student is in more than one classroom, don’t worry—you’ll only be billed for that student once.
  • For example, if you have 2 classes (one with 15 students and one with 25) and 5 students are in both classes, you’d be billed for 35 total seats (not 40): $175 × 35.
• You can change which classrooms have access mid-year at no extra cost, as long as your total number of seats doesn’t go up.
• If you do need to add seats mid-year, you can adjust your plan anytime—we’ll just charge a prorated amount for the additional seats.

A few exceptions

• If you use Google Classroom without Google Workspace, you can’t manage billing automatically in your Billing settings yet. This is a bit more complicated because it can be tricky to tell who owns each classroom. For now, I’d still suggest becoming an early adopter. You can use the email template in settings by clicking “Request a payment link.” Or, just email me your school name and estimated student count, and I can create your subscription for you.

• If your billing admin doesn’t have access to a classroom, they might not be able to create a teacher account yet (for Google Classroom or Microsoft Teams). If that happens, just email me your school’s name and an estimated student count, and I’ll get your plan set up manually.

Either way, you’ll still have access to a billing portal where you can update or remove your payment method and download invoices anytime. You’ll also receive confirmation emails before any charges go through. Payments are handled securely through Stripe, so everything should feel smooth and familiar.
